SAMR Model

SAMR Model tries to find more meaningful uses of technology in teaching. It’s divided into two branches and which are Transformation and Enhancement. Each branches are also divided into two branches.

Enhancement:

Substition: Technology acts as direct tools with functional improvement and it uses the traditional way.

Augmentation: Technology acts as direct tool without functional improvement. It reproduces the previous practice. Creating an e-book could be an example of augmentation.

Transformation:

Redefiniton: It is the creation of new tasks. Students are in charge of education.

Modification: It allows for significant task redesign. There’s interaction between students in practices. Modifying the previous practice by keeping the heart of the matter is crucial.
