We live in an era that technology is very important. Technology can be helpful to education as well.  So, it has become important to incorporate technology into our classrooms. 

TPACK stands for Technological Pedaagogical Content Knowledge. It is a framework that guides us about the integration about technology in education and how we can structure lessons to provide a better education while incorporting technology. TPACK focuses on teechnological knowledge(TK), pedagogical knowledge(PK) and content knowledge(CK).   

Content Knowledge (CK) – This describes teachers’ own knowledge of the subject matter. It can differ according to lesson and grade level.

Pedagogical Knowledge (PK) – This describes teachers’ knowledge of the, processes, and methods regarding teaching and learning.

Technological Knowledge (TK) – This describes teachers’ knowledge of, and ability to use, various technologies and technological tools.

TPACK framework is useful for the ways in which it explicates the types of knowledge most needed in order to make technology integration successful in the classroom.

Nearpod

Nearpod is a tool that can help teachers make the class interactive. Teachers can create interactive presentations that include contents like videos, pdfs and audios or activities like polls, tests, open ended questions, matching pairs and quizzes. Students can gain access to these presentations through links and codes that teachers share with them. Teachers can share these materials either as live participation or student-paced.     Here's an example of Nearpod presentation. This is a powepoint slide I created a while ago but I added some contents on it with the help of Nearpod. We can add time limit and state a point for each question. Before saving this interactive presentation, we can also preview it.  Teachers can assign homeworks to their students. Students can engage on their own time as well! Teachers can provide a student paced code and they can access the Nearpod lesson at home, or anywhere with internet connection. Teachers can also create some mini games for students. T

Virtual Reality

  Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment.  By simulating as many senses as possible, such as vision, hearing, touch, even smell, the computer is transformed into a gatekeeper to this artificial world. The only limits to near-real VR experiences are the availability of content and cheap computing power. Virtual reality can improve education by providing students with memorable and immersive experiences that would otherwise not be possible, it can all take place within the classroom. VR is accessible to every student and can be easily monitored by teachers. Sutori

Sutori is a collaborative tool for creating and sharing interactive timelines and presentations. Teachers can create classes and in order for their students to join the class, they can send students codes to access shared timelines and create their own.
