Seesaw

 Seesaw is a platform that enables you to create learning tasks and assignments for students. The assignments can include videos, photos, text, images and files. Like Google Classroom, Seesaw gives teachers the opportunity to create a class blog, communicate with students and families. Parents also may join in these classes. A translation tool is also usable for parents so Seesaw can be very helpful for ESL classes. 

You can make an annoucement, assign activity and post student work.

Here is an assignment I created on Seesaw. My students can add response to this assignment and I can see who send their homeworks. Seesaw also allows teachers to record their voices while creating the assignment.

Also, the teacher is able to build digital portfolios for each student, which grow over time as the students add more content. So, teachers can keep up with how each student is doing in the class.

Nearpod

Nearpod is a tool that can help teachers make the class interactive. Teachers can create interactive presentations that include contents like videos, pdfs and audios or activities like polls, tests, open ended questions, matching pairs and quizzes. Students can gain access to these presentations through links and codes that teachers share with them. Teachers can share these materials either as live participation or student-paced.     Here's an example of Nearpod presentation. This is a powepoint slide I created a while ago but I added some contents on it with the help of Nearpod. We can add time limit and state a point for each question. Before saving this interactive presentation, we can also preview it.  Teachers can assign homeworks to their students. Students can engage on their own time as well! Teachers can provide a student paced code and they can access the Nearpod lesson at home, or anywhere with internet connection. Teachers can also create some mini games for students. T

Virtual Reality

  Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment.  By simulating as many senses as possible, such as vision, hearing, touch, even smell, the computer is transformed into a gatekeeper to this artificial world. The only limits to near-real VR experiences are the availability of content and cheap computing power. Virtual reality can improve education by providing students with memorable and immersive experiences that would otherwise not be possible, it can all take place within the classroom. VR is accessible to every student and can be easily monitored by teachers. Sutori

Sutori is a collaborative tool for creating and sharing interactive timelines and presentations. Teachers can create classes and in order for their students to join the class, they can send students codes to access shared timelines and create their own.
